v1.1 - post 7DRL tweaks and UI improvements


This release features a few minor gameplay changes, but mostly focuses on UI improvements:

  • The game can now be downloaded and played offline and the original 1.0 version has also been made available for download
  • Mushrooms now grow on corpses
  • Xenoliths spawn spread out across the map instead of clumped together
  • Spiders are tagged as "amicable", meaning they won't attack other spiders (they already had this behavior, but now it's documented in game)
  • Various fixes and changes to obscure interactions
  • The map has a checkerboard pattern to make it easier to parse
  • The message log shows messages from previous turns in a darker color
  • The message log includes hints for examining enemies and for status conditions
  • Minor changes to in game text to increase clarity
  • Added turn count to UI
  • Enemy HP has been moved to a more easily readable column on the left side of the enemy list
  • Corpses are now mentioned by examine mode and linger in magma for a turn before disappearing

Edit: v1.1.1

  • Tweaked how the Wasm module is loaded, which maybe made that happen a little faster when playing on itch.io?
  • Reworked corpses falling in magma to make them display as burning corpses instead of charred corpses
